The Gujarat Assembly elections are due to be held later this year. Before these elections, Congress MLAs are joining BJP one after the other. According to a report, the minister of Saurashtra is ready to leave his hand and go to BJP. This is a big setback for the Congress party before the assembly elections.Politics is at its peak regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat.
Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are continuously making new announcements in the state to woo the people and the people. There itself the breakdown of Gujarat Congress continues. Six MLAs are going to leave Congress and join BJP. Recently, Gujarat Congress leaders Naresh Rawal and Raju Parmar also decided to leave the party. On the other hand, All India Congress Committee Gujarat in-charge Ashok Gehlot is reaching Gujarat today.
New setback for Congress facing cash crunch
Ahead of the assembly elections due later this year, the main opposition party in Gujarat, which is facing a cash-strapped Congress, is facing huge resentment. At least six MLAs of Saurashtra are going to the BJP. A former president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee said that these MLAs had sought financial assistance for the elections. He said that the Congress is not in a position to fulfil their demand at present and now they are ready to leave the party.
MLAs will leave their hands
According to sources, Bhavesh Katara, Chirag Khagaria, Lalit Vasoya, Sanjay Solanki, Mahesh Patel and Harshad Ribadia have met BJP state president CR Patil. He is likely to join BJP soon. With four out of six being Patidar, the Congress will be affected to a great extent. Big blow for Congress Lalit vasoya, a former close aide of Hardik Patel, came into limelight with the Patidar agitation. He was one of the most vocal and aggressive Congress MLAs and garnered grassroots support in Saurashtra. Let us tell you that earlier Patidar leader Hardik Patel had joined BJP. He had also levelled allegations against the leaders of Gujarat Congress.
