In April 2020 IMD shared a list of 169 names which contains 13 names proposed by each member state which are assigned in a sequential manner.

It will continue to move west-northwest and blanket northern Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and the adjacent southern coast of Andhra Pradesh between Puducherry and Sriharikota around Mahabalipuram as a cyclonic storm with maximum sustained wind speeds of 65-75 km/h, from December 9 midnight to early morning December 10.
