12th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival Awards have been announced. Â
On Monday, the winners of the 12th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Awards were announced, with Farhan Akhtar and Suriya’s Jai Bhim taking home the top prizes. Farhan was named Best Actor for his performance in Toofan. Last year, the film was released on the OTT platform. Mrunal Thakur is also part of this film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.Â
Meanwhile, Jai Bhim took home the award for Best Film. TJ Gnanavel directed the film, which stars Suriya in the prominent role. It was also an out-of-the-box release that received a lot of positive feedback. Manikandan, who starred in the Tamil film Manikandan, won the award for Best Supporting Actor.Â
According to India Today, the Jury gave Chehre, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, a noteworthy mention. The Best Film prize went to Ergaal and Nata Samrat (Jury).Â

In a genuine sense, Dada Saheb Phalke founded the Indian cinema movement, and he is a symbol of greatness. He has made an incomparable contribution to Indian film. Today, Indian cinema is reaching new heights in terms of both substance and technology, but it is important to remember that it all began with the legendary Dada Saheb Phalke, and we are simply carrying on his legacy.Â
