Divulging the Fashion statements of AJLT 2nd Season

In the universe of Sex and the City, fashion played a significant role just as the Fabulous four of the franchise. In all of the old and current seasons along with the movies, statements have been produced which have earned their place in the hall of fame. 

The second season of And Just Like That (AJLT)  the costume designers have gone all out by creating eye-catching, elegant pieces to make the audience obsessed. They have also brought back the classic cliches and developed a personal wardrobe for few of the latest characters.

As the season finale closes in, there are some of the greatest fashion instances that are worth looking back on. 

Carrie’s wedding dress 

The wedding dress, worn by her for her wedding when Mr Big left her at the altar made a comeback in this season finale. Her Met Gala outfit was in shambles which forced her to look through her classic wardrobe and choose that Vivian Westwood wedding dress. It complimented her teal color shawl and the bird feather hat.  

Lisa in Red 

For Lisa Todd Wexley’s Met Gala look, the costume designers turned to Valentino to create a custom made gown. The train of the outfit was 10 to 12 feet long. This red gown created an impact as Lisa’s husband carried the train through the traffic of 5th Avenue, New York City. 

Animal prints worn by Seema 

After the Devil wears Prada era animal prints were again popularised by Seema Patel . Mix and match, bold leopard prints, tiger stripes, giraffe spots have become the highlight of this iconic character.

Miranda’s Suit

Miranda always had a few fashion eras throughout these years, but this suit style of hers fits the best. When she wore this mint color Max Mara suit, the audience could not rave enough about this look. This choice also draws a parallel in the character’s professional life .

Charlotte’s Workwear

This character had always prioritized her family over the years, but this season saw her return to her profession with an upscale style. Puff sleeves, power jackets were part of her new look. 

Aidan’s Jacket 

With the return of Aidan in episode 7, his belted jacket sparked a dispute over social media. The Belstaff Trialmaster jacket with its assertive belt placement and button-up divided the audience.

The Green Carrie met Kathy dress 

This persona had her big and emotional moments while donning a dress. In this scenario, she wore an emerald dress with matching jacket and accessories to meet Kathy, Aidan’s ex-wife. 

Sam Smith’s Clutch

In his five minute cameo Sam Smith is seen buying artwork from Charlotte’s gallery while holding a Judith Leiber clutch. This brand is the same one, when back in season 2, Big gives Carrie a swan clutch from the same brand. 

Nya as Catwoman 

The Halloween episode of the season had Nya Wallace dressed up in a Catwoman suit. The outfit included a jumpsuit and thigh high boots, drawing inspiration from the superhero. 

Puffer Coat Dress of Carrie  

Carrie was seen strolling the NYC streets during a snowstorm in the Bomb Cyclone episode wearing an unreleased Moncler and Valentino puffer gown. This gown represented her characteristics, silly, impractical but indisputably phenomenal .
