Aryan Khan was arrested on 3rd October, 2021 as a part of NCB raid on Cordelia Cruise ship. Failing to prove drug allegations against him, Aryan was granted bail nearly after 3 weeks by the Bombay High Court.
It was yesterday, May 19 that the accused and his friend Arbaaz Merchant were re-named in the list of drug bust case at the last moment by the NCB-Mumbai, while names of other suspects were dropped.
Chats of SRK gone viral
SRK has sent multiple text messages to Sameer Wankhede requesting to “go easy” with his son. In the chats, the former “accepts that it is officially inappropriate and maybe outright wrong but once as a father” if he can speak, reported Free Press Journal.
I supplicate you “please have mercy in me and my family”. We’re a simple set of people and “my son has been a bit wayward but he does not deserve being in jail” like a toughened miscreant. You also know that. “Have a heart man please” i supplicate you (sic), according to a message. The messages are seen to end with the signoff “Love SRK”.
However, there was no response about the authentication of chats from Shah Rukh Khan or his legal team.
Affidavit talks of tampering
The affidavit filed by IPS officer Gyaneshwar Singh mentioned about the ‘tampering’ of the recording devices at the NCB office. “Special Enquiry Team (SET)” had collected the CCTV equipment to verify the facts and it was found that the DVR and the hard disc provided were contrasting.
“It appears from the actions of the zone that the CCTV footage did have something important and the same was intentionally not provided to the SET,” it added.
Are other suspects intentionally guarded?
Earlier the NCB had recovered “rolling paper in the bag” of Saumya Singh during the raid who was in the same room as model Munmun Dhamecha, another arrested accused in the case. Dhamecha, in a recent interview, had questioned the NCB on its decision to release Singh.
Siddarth Shah, another accused and revealed of supplying “6gm of charas” to Arbaaz Merchant, had also been left free by the NCB officer – making things complicated for Wankhede.
Based on this report, an FIR against Wankhede has been filed by the CBI. Although he was called for questioning in Mumbai regarding the case, Wankhede did not appear before the agency’s team.
