Eknath Shinde said he will take the matter to the Supreme Court, citing the Constitution in support of his claim that the floor test is a violation
There will be a hearing taking place on Thursday in the Supreme Court of India in order to find out if the Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, has immunity from judicial review for the deciding of a lack of confidence vote in his government, led by Uddhav Thackeray.
In Mumbai on Thursday, a small delegation of Shiv Sena legislators along with leader Eknath Shinde, the rebel Shiv Sena leader, will meet to conduct a floor test. Earlier this week, according to the latest updates , it was reported that the students would be flown to Mumbai on Thursday morning. This is after being transferred to Goa on Wednesday morning. The reporter indicated his camp had the majority and would pass the floor test.

His visit to Assam’s Guwahati has been ongoing since over a week, as he has met with MLAs of the Shiv Sena and Independents and announced the formation of a new party faction that still adheres to the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe. As Shinde stepped out of the luxury hotel where the rebel group had been staying for the past week, he prayed for peace and prosperity for the people of Maharashtra at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
Defeat Eknath Shinde’s floor test, we have the majority
On Thursday, Eknath Shinde, leader of the rebel MLA camp, expressed confidence that they will pass the floor test because their group has the majority.
“In a democracy, majority matters, and that is what we have,” says Shinde to reporters outside the Kamakhya Devi temple in Guwahati. “We have 50 MLAs with us. We have a 2/3rd majority. We are not concerned about any floor tests. We will pass everything and no one can stop us.” he says.
Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh are requested by the SC to participate in the floor test
There are two former NCP MLAs, Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik, who, on the floor of the Maharashtra Assembly, have recently sought a court order for them to participate in the elections held in the state
