The last two seasons of one of the most buzzing shows on Netflix, Emily In Paris, received more love than expected. Not just for the plot but also for the fashion statement the show made and gave way for all the fashionistas to unleash their experimental selves. Season 3 isn’t out yet, but the talks of Emily’s newest fashion endeavors are buzzing through the world wide web.
RECAP:
To take a look back, season 2 ended with Emily being torn between two really worthy lovers, Gabriel and Alfie but clearly heartbroken when Gabriel and Camille decide to move in together.
Netizens have loved this pair since season 1, but with Alfie in the picture, the netizens are now torn between the team of two couples. Another significant cliffhanger is Emily’s choice between sticking around Savoir to try to “Americanize” the business or joining Sylvie as she launches a new marketing company.
But with the complex story lines for love lives, hot love interests, and over-the-top fashion, the show’s costume designers, Patricia Field and Marylin Fitoussi, are adept at sartorial storytelling, which gives us insight into who the characters are and what they’re going through.
THE EMILY WAY:
Subtlety is definitely not an item in Emily’s wardrobe. She throws extreme prints and pops of colors in a very colorful outfit. The season three scene leaks show that Emily would still be slaying her signature style code. Upbeat, colorful, and energetic.
But in season 3, her outfits reveal a more monochrome approach and subtler prints like majorly polka dots and checkered patterns.
The lady also sports a new bangs hairstyle to shock us all by not going with her two seasons signature look.Â
LOOKS OF THIS SEASON:
Emily layers a plaid coat over a plaid button-up shirt while accessorizing with a CH Carolina Herrera bag and fitted slacks. She also layers the hounds-tooth pattern over top of the plaid.
Her outfit choice seems more mature and can indicate her growing more aware of her decisions and their repercussions as far as we’ve seen the story-line goes.
With her thick, dark hair, unkempt fringe, and flush of scarlet on her lips, Lily Collins resembled the ideal French girl.
What about her stunning outfit?
Lily remained loyal to French luxury design icons like Cartier and Saint Laurent. The taupe brown color is a version of the cut-out and ruched gowns shown on the luxury fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway.
The features are definitely so eye-catching here but let those not distract you from the big fat platform heels. It is predicted that Emily In Paris Season 3 will be all about platform heels just as much about another love life complication.
Emily sports her signature bright-as-sunshine look while Mindy is in gold and all things super stylish yet with a hint of subtlety. Mindy always seems to look like the royalty she is. Here we see Emily again sporting platform heels.
Emily is going to give all the traditional power suits a run for the money with her own version of popping colors. Her power suit style has always been more reflective of her personality, and that is what Emily says fashion is all about. A show of one’s own personality.
You may already be counting down the days until Emily in Paris’ third season debut if fun, French, and fashion are three of your favorite F-words. From December 21 you can binge-watch Lily Collins as Emily’s rather rocky ride through Seine only on Netflix.
