Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, said Wednesday that more work is needed to help the worldwide immunisation campaign succeed. Kyriakides told the Global Health Ministerial Conference in France, “50% of the world’s population has been fully vaccinated.”
Kyriakides said Europe has sent 1.7 billion medicines to 165 countries. She said, “I’ve emphasised before and in my opening words today that giving vaccines isn’t enough; we need to be vaccinated.”
In addition, Stella noted that the European Commission is working closely with EU member states, manufacturers, and the COVAX initiative to certify that corona vaccines can be distributed as predictable in case of an emergency. Fully vaccinated world.Â
