Ex-Pakistan President and General Pervez Musharraf death was a false news. He is not on the ventilator; though his organs are malfunctioning. The former leader suffers from Amyloidosis, a rare disease that affects the organ shape and functioning.
Family confirmed the organ malfunctioning of Former Pakistan President and General Pervez Musharaff as he is unwell and reportedly critical. He is under hospitalization for the last 3 weeks due to a complication of his ailment (Amyloidosis) but now his condition is stable.
General’s family wrote on Twitter, “Pervez Musharraf is not on the ventilator. Has been hospitalized for the last 3 weeks due to a complication of his ailment (Amyloidosis). Going through a difficult stage where recovery is not possible and organs are malfunctioning. Pray for ease in his daily living,” They also requested his well-wishers that General Pervez Musharraf death was just wrong news and don’t believe it.
A Pakistani leader and President of Musharraf’s party All Pakistan Muslim League tweeted “Dear All, General Pervez Musharraf is at home bit ill though but fully alert as usual, please don’t listen to fake news. Just pray for his good health, Ameen.” Confirming Pervez’s death news was just a hoax.
Musharraf’s close aide and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry said he spoke to Musharraf’s son Bilal in Dubai who confirmed that he (Musharraf) is on ventilator.
This news came during his death hoax by various agencies as certain sections of Pakistan media created confusion about his demise. However, several other media handles denied his passing away.
Pakistani Media outlet Waqt News reported the demise of the former general on their Twitter handle but later deleted the tweet.
Pervez Musharraf was earlier admitted to a hospital in Dubai after he developed “heart- and blood pressure-related” complications, as per some media reports.
Also, there were reports of his suffering from an unspecified ailment in 2018, and could not return to Pakistan now or even attend court hearings against him.
“Musharraf had a fracture in his spine, for which he got treated in the USA. But nowadays he is being treated for a separate ailment. For this, he has to go to London after every three months,” a former chairman of APML, Muhammad Amjad, had said.
The former President left for Dubai in March 2016 for medical treatment and has not returned since. He is facing a treason case for suspending the Constitution in 2007. General Pervez has also been declared a fugitive in former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s murder case and the Red Mosque cleric killing case.
