France’s forward player Kylian Mbappe scored two goals in a spectacular performance in the knockout match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on Sunday. His stellar performance helped France record a thumping 3-1 win over Poland. After these two goals, Mbappé’s tally of goals in this World Cup has increased to 5 and he has become the sole leader in the race for the Golden Boot.

Mbappe(23) was earlier tied with Lionel Messi, Valencia, Cody Gakpo, Marcus Rashford, Alvaro Morata, and his teammate Olivier Giroud. Giroud scored his third goal against Poland in the 44th minute with the help of Mbappe. Half an hour later, Mbappe beat Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to score a right-foot curler to put France ahead 2–0. He added another goal to his tally in the first minute of stoppage time.
Star footballer Scored two goals against Denmark Mbappé opened his account with a goal in the first group match against Australia in Qatar. He also scored two goals against Denmark. However, France lost 0–1 to Tunisia in the final group match. Mbappé could not score a single goal in this match, but the world was stunned by the way he performed against Poland.
