In Hyderabad, tension was felt near the Bowenpally area on Monday evening after a rally in support of Nationalist Party (NCP) leader Nupur Sharma was organized by some individuals.
Sharma is suspected of making controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammad and has been suspended.

In a statement on June 5, the BJP stated that she had been suspended for her comments which aroused outrage in the country and across the Arab world.
Placards and slogans supporting Sharma were displayed during the rally. Meanwhile, another group gathered and raised counter slogans opposing the rally.
