The latest Maharashtra news live updates, June 25, 2022: MLAs of the Shiv Sena party in Maharashtra have taken to the streets to express their anger towards dissidents, as Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray called them traitors.
Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde says the Maharashtra Chief Minister and  Both the State’s Minister and the Chief Minister have ceased to provide protection to Shiv Sena legislators.
According to him, if they and their families are to be protected and supported, the government should be responsible for doing so.
A senior leader of the Sena, quoted by the PTI, said the party had asked the deputy speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly to oust four more rebel legislators. Arvind Sawant, a Sena MP, said that in addition to 16 rebel MLAs, the party would issue notices to them for their answers by Monday.
There have been a number of names that the deputy speaker has been given by the deputy to present to him. These names include Sanjay Raymulkar, Chiman Patil, Ramesh Bornare, and Balaji Kalyankar.
