On Saturday, BJP MLA M. Raghunandan Rao held a press conference regarding the Hyderabad rape case. He is claiming the involvement of MIM MLA’s son in a rape case and demands a CBI investigation. Four accused have been arrested so far.
“In the video, which was shown for 10 seconds, there is a sexual attack on the girl.” There were four guys in the red Mercedes, but none of them were identified by the police as suspects,” Rao stated.
“Sexual assault is clearly visible in the video.” In accordance with the POCSO Act, I have not shown the girl’s face or revealed her identity. However, the accused’s faces can be seen. Let the court or the police decide if they are minors or not. I presented the facts to the police and the public. “Now the police should figure out if the MLA’s son was involved,” Rao remarked.
In connection with the case, Hyderabad police have arrested 18-year-old Saaduddin Malik and two juveniles-in-conflict-with-the-law (JICL). One accused is the MLA’s son, so the opposition is demanding an unbiased CBI inquiry.
The BJP claims that the police only intervened when TRS leader and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao declared that no one would be spared, and Youth Congress activists held a protest in front of the DGP’s office in Hyderabad over the ‘delay’ in police intervention.
Opposition The BJP and the Congress have requested that the TRS administration turn over the inquiry to the CBI so that it can be conducted impartially. Sanjay Kumar, the state BJP president and MP, sent an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in reaction to media claims concerning the potential involvement of the kin of various politically influential people. When allegations of involvement of family members of persons affiliated with AIMIM, the ruling TRS’s friendly party, surfaced, the BJP leader remarked that it was the state government’s “minimum responsibility” to launch a CBI probe. He asked for Telangana’s pubs to be closed down.
