The top leadership of the BJP has come to realize that the workers on the ground floor are very angry that the party has moved away from Nupur Sharma side in the controversial remarks about the Prophet.
They are feeling the flames of anger from different social media. BJP activists and Hindutva organizations have publicly voiced support for Nupur Sharma. According to them, Nupur did what she did for the team. However, when he needed the support of the team, he was suspended.
In that case, the workers will come on the field in the hope of opening the next day or opening their mouths– that is the answer many have asked. The message of the workers to the top leadership is that the ruling party should not be intimidated in this way.
Narendra Modi-Amit Shah has nothing to do now even though they understand the anger of the workers.
Because the BJP leadership is not able to walk the path of alleviating the anger of the lower-level workers in the way the anklet comments have been burnt at the international level.
The BJP is also cautious so that the situation does not get worse. The party has warned all party leaders who have been accused of spreading hate speech in the past.
BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma and expelled Naveen for his comments. In this regard, Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra said, “Insulting one religion is punishable. If he condemns other religions then he is an intellectual! Let the law be the same for all”.
The BJP has been forced to take action against the two spokespersons. Indirectly criticizing the party’s decision, Kapil said, “Their country is an Islamic state – those who are fired in the name of religion, talk of a financial boycott. Hindus are second-class citizens all over the world. There is no punishment for insulting Hindu religion alone, on the contrary, rewards are tied”.
The top leadership of the BJP is in a state of uneasiness as the lower echelons of the party are openly speaking out against the decision. Opposing the party’s decision, Abhishek Dubey, leader of the IT wing of the BJP Youth Front, tweeted, “I do not support insulting any religion or religious leader.” Because everyone’s beliefs are different.
But when Shiva was recently insulted, was action taken against anyone?” In the words of one of the party leaders, “the younger generation has raised some questions which the party does not have the answers to at the moment”.
The BJP leadership understands that a large section of the lower-level cadres who went down the road and ensured the victory of the party did not take the punishment of Nupur Sharma -Naveen well. They think the party has betrayed the two spokespersons.
The two spokespersons, who were on the receiving end of the attack, were pushed into a more difficult situation by being punished when the team should have been hiding. A BJP worker from Bihar asked, “Whom will I trust next?” What good is a website if it simply “blends in” with everything else out there? “ So that it is possible to give a strong message to the party workers.
The party has given the message to the party workers to stay within the boundaries by punishing Nupur-Naveen. Meanwhile, police today arrested an activist of the local BJP youth wing for allegedly inciting sectarian strife in Kanpur over Nupur Sharma’s remarks.
However, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala retorted, “It was their leaders who built temples and mosques at one time. We-they have caused division in society. Now that the situation is out of hand, the team wants to pull the plug. But the cat is out of the bag”.
