A Sikh Family of 4 was kidnapped at gunpoint on monday was found dead on Wednesday.
California: The kidnapped 8-month-old girl along with her uncle and parents were kidnapped on Monday from South highway 59 and later on Wednesday were found dead in Merced County, California.
Compendious Kidnapping Case and Merciless Killing
Indian Origin Sikh family of 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri, her 27-year-old mother Jasleen Kaur, 36-year-old father Jasdeep Singh, and 39-year-old uncle Amandeep Singh were from Central Valley was kidnapped in Merced County, California on Monday at a gunpoint by a bald guy with disposable mask and grey and black hoodie on Monday.
They were found dead on Wednesday evening. The family was originally from Harsi Pind in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, and moved to central valley in 2020.
Charanjit Singh, the neighbor of Randhir Singh and Kirpal Kaur, parents of late Jasdeep Singh, said, “Jasdeep’s family and relatives back home in Jalandhar are in a state of shock and aren’t in any position to talk or help in the investigation in any way.”
Randhir Singh and Kirpal Kaur are said to be retired officers from the health and education departments, respectively.
Gurnam Singh, “And that Jasleens in-laws had shifted to back to India last month and that they even visited us in Jandir, Jalandhar.
Later Gurnam Singh, father of Jasleen Kaur said, “My daughter and Jasdeep got married in January 2019 and went to the US in October 2020. Jasleen had informed us recently that they are planning to visit us in January 2024, and we were happy and couldn’t wait as we would have seen our granddaughter first time since she was born, and we also planned to celebrate their visit by that time our granddaughter would have turned 1-year-old.”
He later added that he had no clue how or why anyone who do this or what could their motive be.
Jasleens’ sister-in-law Amandeep Kaur said that whenever Jasleen went to the office she always left her daughter with her in-laws.
She later added, “Nowadays as since my parents went back to India, she used to take Aroohi with her to the office. On the day of the kidnapping when I tried calling them, their phones were switched off. She then rushed over to their working place and found scattered papers and when she checked the CCTV cameras, she saw that they were being kidnapped and she soon contacted local authorities”
Police On Sikh Family Kidnapping Case
Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke in a Facebook post said, “The Police said that the family was kidnapped from 800 blocks of South highway 59. We have a low-life who kidnapped a family with an 8-month-old baby. So far there are no leads or known motivation behind the kidnapping, but we got some evidence to indicate the lowlifes involved in the case due to destroyed pieces of evidence that were supposed to cover their tracks.”
Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke said, “On Wednesday evening while still in search for the family the worst had happened, the family was found dead in an Orchid near Indiana Road and Hutchinson Road, a worker noticed the bodies near an Orchid and at once contacted authorities. All the bodies were found close together.”
Warnke during the press conference added, “There are no words to describe the anger I feel. There is a special place in hell for this guy, Investigators have also obtained some videos of a person making bank transactions resembling one of the kidnappers from surveillance video of original kidnapping Scene.”
Police said, “48-year-old Jesus Manuel Salgado was arrested as he is “the person in interest” in the kidnapping case of Indian Origin Sikh family. He also tried to kill himself and is in critical condition right now.”
