Irfan Pathan about the MI team
If we talk about an average cricket fan, the MI (Mumbai Indians) team looks strong but a former Indian cricket team player has some other thinking. During an interview on Star Sports, Irfan Pathan was asked to rate Mumbai Indians (MI) team auction performance from five and he gave them a score from three and a half to four points.
Irfan Pathan’s reaction to the Mumbai Indians team
When the interviewer asked to Irfan Pathan about Mumbai Indians (MI) team, he gave a good reason for his point, “Definitely I’ll score between three-and-a-half to four. No doubt Cameron Green was an extremely good buy for the team. I am deducting one point less because you will also feel one player is missing in the team when you try to make their playing XI team.”
The former fast Indian Cricket team bowler explained his deducting reason and said that Mumbai Indians will have a puzzle to solve when it comes to the cricket team who will be the batsman at number 7.
He further added in his statement that, “Other than, you got a good bowling team also. You are having Piyush Chawla as a spinner in your team. You also got Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah on your team, if they remain fit in this IPL session then it’s one of the best teams in IPL in the year 2024. You are also having an option of both player Behrendoff and Jhye Richardson in your team.”
He also mentioned in his statement that, “Mumbai Indians’ (MI) team problem might get solved out because of the impact player in the team which is going to come. There at that time, you can play an extra bowler at the number 7, or there is a batter if you have to bowl second. So the overall Mumbai Indians team is good but I gave them that rating based on the best playing XI.”
