Star-Studded Cast Shines in Jubliee Trailer Release
Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane has released the trailer of his series Jubliee, it explores the dark and greedy side of the bollywood industry which is overshadowed by the glamour we see in daily life. The series stars Aparshakti Khurrana, Aditi Rao Hyadri, Siddhant, Prosenjit Chhaterjee and Ram Kapoor in leading roles. Jubliee is a ten episodes series, which is divided into two parts. Both parts will be released on Amazon prime on April 7th and 14th respectively.
The trailer shows Aparkshakti as Binod Das and Aditi Rao Hyadri as Savitri Kumari. Binod is a trustworthy aide of a film studio. The owner of the Roy Talkies (Prosenjit) had sent him to bring his wife’s (Aditi Rao Hydari) lover Madan Kumar (Nandish Sahu). When Madan dies in an accident Binod takes his place and becomes a film star. But Binod had to pay the price for stardom eventually. The role of a younger singer, Nilofer, played by Waqima Gabi depicts that she is dreaming to become an actress as well. Sidhant Gupta plays as an aspring filmmaker and Ram Kapoor is also the part of the series as Madan’s champion. The story is set against the backdrop of Bombay in 1947.
Aparshakti has talked about his role in Jubliee through social media. He had posted the poster of his character in the series. He gave a small brief about Binod Das in the caption. The drama is grand in scale which can be reflected through the vintage production and costumes. It also has some original songs. Composer Amit Trivedi is also seen with Aparshakti Khurrana in one of the scenes. The performance of all the stars is worth praising. The story has also a part where Savitri tries to expose her husband and Binod who covered up Madan’s murder.
