Dhanush congratulates ex-wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth on the release of her new music video.
On Thursday, March 17, 2022, the music video of the multilingual song “Payani” was released at 4:44 PM. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the music video was unveiled by her father and legendary actor Rajinikanth.
Taking to twitter the superstar wrote, “Happy to release #Payani , music single directed by my daughter Aishwarya , who is back to direction after a long gap of 9 years. I Wish you the very best always @ash_r_dhanush.. god bless …love you …”
Aishwarya Rajinikanth, formerly known as Aishwarya R Dhanush is a South Indian playback singer and film director. She made her directional debut in 2012, with a feature film titled “3” starring Shruti Haasan and Dhanush. Her last work as a director, prior the release of her recent song, was in 2017.
Aishwarya made her comeback with the multilingual song “Payani” sung in four different languages namely, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu as Payani, Musafir, Yatarakkaran, Sanchari. The different versions of the song in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi were sung by Anirudh Ravichander, Sagar, Rajnith Govind and Ankit Tiwari, respectively.
Following the release people shared the song and tweeted congratulatory messages. Among those well-wishers was the director’s ex-husband and actor Dhanush. The said actor tweeted: “Congrats my friend @ash_r_dhanush on your music video #payani. God Bless.”
Aishwarya and Dhanush tied the knot in 2004 and were married for 18 long years until, January 2022. The couple share two beautiful kids, Yatra and Linga, together.
Earlier this year, the couple announced their separation through social media asking the fans for their “understanding”. The note shared by Dhanush on twitter read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other.
The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D.”
With the caption “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!”, Aishwarya had shared the same note on her Instagram. Aishwarya responded to her ex-husband’s recent tweet with a simple, “Thank you Dhanush….Godspeed.”
The little interaction between the two didn’t go unnoticed by the two who soon shared their opinion on the matter. Commenting on Aishwarya’s tweet a fan wrote, “There’s no need to address each other with a tag, addressing with name is enough and well respectful nothing is wrong here,” while another one expressed her sadness by saying, “As a Simbu fan I feel bad for them it’s heart breaking.”
Appreciating their civil exchange post-divorce, a fan commented, “Dhanush… without any other controversial word. This is how we should behave in public. Well-handled sis.” Taking their interaction as an example another fan took a dig at the American rapper a fan commented “Kanye should take notes.”
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian went through a very rough public separation last year and after nearly a yearlong battle in the court the couple was proclaimed single earlier this month. Since the separation the rapper has been directing sarcastic and hateful posts/tweets/comments towards her estranged wife Kim and her current boyfriend and singer, Pete Davidson.
