Netflix brought many sensational stories in September 2021; one of those is “KATE”, released on the 10th of this month.

Kate is the main character of this newly released film. She is an assassin who gets poisoned in her last days of the job.
The whole plot of this film is about this assassin and how she finally gets to know who did this to her. The film also revealed about her.
Plot
The movie starts with a brief conversation between Varrick and Kate in the city of Osaka, Japan.
They talked about a particular mission while Varrick seemed worried that Kate might not accomplish her task.
But Kate assured and went for the mission. Varrick, here, he is Kate’s coach, more like trainer or Boss. The mission was about murdering a powerful officer Yakuza Syndicate.Â
Kate’s success in her success makes her realise that she wants a different, happy life. However, she decides to have an everyday life because of murdering Ani-Chan’s father in front of her eyes which reminds her about her parents. Ani-Chan’s loss of her father takes Kate to her emotional turmoil.Â
So, she informs Varrick that she wants a life, and after her final mission, she will retire once and for all. Before retirement as an assassin, she has to murder Kijima, Ani-Chan’s uncle.

Later she gets to know that a stranger with whom she shared wine and sex in a bar gave her polonium-204 with wine.
So, she eventually tracks down that person named Stephen and his girlfriend. She meets them in a hotel, threatens them and learns that Sato convinced them.
So, she goes back to “V”, Varrick, and knows about Sato and who is Ani-Chan’s father. She gets desperate for information, and under vengeance, she kidnaps Kijima’s niece, Ani-Chan.
After kidnapping her and threatening her family, Kate learns that Ani-Chan’s family wants her dead. Knowing this terrible truth, Ani-Chan teams up to help Kate finding Renji and her Kijima.

Review
The story amazed me in different ways; it does not just reveal what happens when there’s nobody left to raise us but also talks about how assassins can have emotions.
This film is about Kate, an assassin who lost her parents in an accident but it was just an accident.
It has a good ending, too; Kate finally takes her revenge. In my opinion, it is an excellent movie to watch, but some people may disagree with this because there’s a lot of shows and movies out there on other platforms, also on Netflix. But it’s overall quite good.
