Amitabh Bachchan has revealed a few changes in the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Mr. Bachchan has set in motion a fresh twist in the upcoming season of the most popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. To memorialize the 75th year of Indian Independence, the show has launched a new prize money of Rs 75 lakh.
A new promo is shared by Sony TV. Amitabh is seen sitting in his chair and congratulating the mock contestant, Santosh before asking him the next question that is worth Rs 7.5 crore. According to the promo, the audience alerts Santosh not to take a leap in the dark as if he gets an incorrect answer, he will fall to Rs 3.5 lakh.
Later, Big B persuades the contestant by saying, “If you answer the question correctly, then you win ₹7.5 crores. But, even if your answer is wrong, you still win ₹75 lakh”. Then he turns around the audience and declares, “Yes, it is true. Marking the 75th year of Indian independence, KBC now has a new slot”.
The official handle of Sony TV tweeted, “Iss saal KBC mein hoga kuch naya, jackpot hoga ₹7.5 Crores ka aur judega ₹75 lakh ka ek naya padaav. #KBC2022 coming soon! Stay tuned!”
Mr. Bachchan has been hosting the show ever since it launched on the small screen in 2000. Shah Rukh Khan was made the host for the third season in 2008, when Amitabh was not a part of it due to his prevailing medical conditions.
After the commencement victory of KBC, the makers created fresh and creative taglines to draw more viewership. Few phrases like, ‘Umeed se dugna’, ‘Kuch sawal zindagi badal sakte hain’, ‘Koi Bhi Insaan Chota Nahi Hota’, and ‘Koi Bhi Sawaal Chota Nahi Hota’, ‘Sirf Gyaan Hi Aapko Aapka Haq Dilata Hai’, ‘Seekhna Bandh Toh Jeetna Bandh’ and ‘Yahan Sirf Paise Nahi, Dil Bhi Jeete Jate Hain’, consequently impressing the audience.
KBC proves to be the most successful show in the history of Indian television. The show triumphantly finished 21 years of its existence along with the completion of 1000 episodes. The prize money given out is adjacent to Rs 160 crore.
The show is an Indian version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”.
The previous season of KBC witnessed several crorepatis, including Geeta Gour, Sahil Ahirwar, and Himani Bundela. There were also various starry guest appearances seen on the show. Actors like Farah Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Kriti Sanon, Rajkumar Rao, Katrina Kaif, and cricketers like Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, along with the entire cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah came into view during the promotions.
In the interim, Mr. Bachchan was last spotted in the Ajay Devgn starrer Runway 34. Directed and produced by Ajay, the film also featured Rakul Preet Singh. Amitabh is also featured in the sports biopic Jersey.
Also, Angry young man has a series of films lined up in a row. To name a few, In Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part One that features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in important roles. He also has Project K with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Project K is being directed and written by Nag Ashwin.
The date for the commencement of the new season is yet to be announced.
