Amid the Prophet row, On Tuesday at her book launch ceremony in Chennai, the former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi disrespected the Sikh community. Kiran Bedi asks for apology for mocking the community.
She used her Twitter account to apology for mocking the Sikh community, the people of the community for her hurtful remarks made to them. In the tweet, she mentioned that she has the greatest consideration for the people of her community and is a follower of Nanak Dev Ji herself.
She requested everyone to forgive her and mention that she would be the last person to hurt anyone. A social media firestorm had erupted on Monday following a video that went viral from the book launch event of her book ‘Fearless Governance’, where the former IPS officer was seen cracking a “12’o clock” joke.

She received a large number of abusive responses to her remark.
