Manish Sisodia has phone recordings. We may release the phone conversation if needed, AAP sources
Sources from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed on Monday that Manish Sisodia has an audio recording of a BJP leader calling him and asking him to bring down the AAP govt and join the BJP. Sources claim that the BJP leader offered to withdraw the CBI case against him if he did so.
“We don’t need to release the recording at this point, but if needed, AAP will release the phone recording,” an AAP leader said to NDTV, requesting not to be named.
Sisodia was named in a charge sheet filed by CBI over allegations linking him to some corruption in the new liquor policy. Sisodia earlier said that the BJP had made an offer to withdraw all cases against him if he helped bring down the Delhi govt and crossed over.
“I have received a message from the BJP—break with AAP and join the BJP. All CBI and ED cases against you will be withdrawn.”
My answer to the BJP – I am a descendant of Maharana Pratap, and I am a Rajput. I would rather have my head chopped off than bow down in front of corrupt conspirators. All the cases against me are false. Do what you want to do. ” Manish Sisodia had tweeted two days after the CBI raided his home.
BJP leader Manoj Tiwari slammed Manish Sisodia and said that it is shameful that he is comparing himself with Maharana Pratap.
“It is shameful that he is comparing himself to Maharana Pratap.” Did Maharana Pratap make people drink alcohol? You are selling alcohol in every nook and corner. You are ignoring the cries of Delhi’s women. Maharana Pratap had once taken up arms for women,” he said.
Later, Manish Sisodia tweeted, “My answer to BJP on the offer to make me CM candidate—Arvind Kejriwal is my political guru, I would never betray him.” I did not come here to become CM. My dream is that every child in the country should get a good education, and only then will India will become the No. 1 country. Only Kejriwal can do this in the whole country. “
