McLaren F1 team, as part of a tie-up with sponsor OKX, will run a tweaked ‘Future Mode’ livery on its MCL36 chassis. The cars of Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris will feature neon pink elements and engine illustrations inspired by cyberpunk alongside the traditional orange. This is to herald F1’s return to Asia after 2 years.
McLaren to follow “future mode” for upcoming races
This is a joint campaign between McLaren and Crypto Exchange OKX labeled ‘Future Mode’, and both the drivers’ suits will be tweaked as per the theme of the livery.
This tweak will run for F1’s Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix.
Zak Brown, CEO said that F1’s return to the important Asian market since the pandemic gave inspiration to an extra effort towards the events. He also said that McLaren and OKX are together in progressing and are constantly striving to create new boundaries, as he sheds light on the Future Mode campaign as being an opportunity to establish these values on the global level. Brown also said that getting back to racing in Singapore and Japanese circuits provides an apt backdrop to celebrate their partnership vision as one.
CMO of OKX, Haider Rafique, said that the future-facing design that makes its debut at the night race in Singapore, mirrors the constant, never stopping nature of OKX and the crypto markets that never sleep.
