Xiaomi’s Indian division is currently hyping its event called “Mi Smarter Living 2022”. The electronics maker has confirmed to launch a new smart TV during the event. The event is likely to focus on new personal devices of helpful nature.
Xiaomi, the famous electronics maker, has confirmed the launch of a smart TV during its Mi Smarter Living 2022 scheduled for August 26, 2021.
Earlier, the company has also announced the launch of the Mi Notebook, Mi Band 6 and a few other products during the same event.
Mi Smarter Living is an event hosted by Xiaomi annually to introduce new products. This year the event will be hosted virtually and streamed live at 12:00 pm (IST) on the mentioned date.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has also introduced its first Redmi TV series in the country in March 2021. The 5X Smart TV is expected to arrive with “future-ready specifications”.
Mi TV 5X
Despite giving some ideas about the upcoming smart TV, Xiaomi has not revealed much.
The OEM has announced it as an “all-new premium Mi TV series”. Mi TV 5X has a metal build with a full-screen narrow bezel design and 40W stereo speakers.
The 40W speakers seem like a significant upgrade as most smart TVs have been shipping with either 24W or 30W speaker systems so far. Mi TV 5X will also support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio for an immersive experience.
The TV will unveil a new generation of Mi Patchwall UI and a new ‘Must See’ section. The smart TV will use far-field microphones to support Google Assistant. .
Xiaomi might launch the Smart TV in a 55-inch model. However, the company has left the details about the TV to the imagination at this stage.
What The Company Has to Say?
Xiaomi recently took to its official Twitter handle to say, “The Mi TV 5X is a category-defining, one-of-a-kind product to enhance your cinematic experiences like no other.
Awaken your senses with the wonder of Dolby Vision and Atmos to indulge in an entertainment straight out of the future, today”.
Other Launches by Xiaomi
Xiaomi is also launching the next generation of Mi Notebooks on the same day. The Notebook will come with a backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor and the latest Intel Core processor.
Mi is also going to launch Mi Band 6 during the same event. The pricing of the products will be disclosed during the launch event.
However, the pricing will be on the costlier side, considering what is being brought to the table.
The event will also see Xiaomi’s first WiFi router for India, a security camera and a smart speaker.
Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the upcoming products, apart from the features mentioned on Xiaomi’s official website and social media handles.
We can just wait for the event to put our imaginations at a bar.
