Minister for Energy G. Jagadish Reddy said that the Munugode bypoll is between the TRS and the Congress, BJP is a way down.
On Saturday, Minister for Energy G. Jagadish Reddy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fearing the popularity of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. So, to restrict the entry of KCR into national politics, he conspired to organise the bypoll in Munugode.
During the press conference organised by the Press Club in Hyderabad, he responded to several questions. Some of the questions are mentioned here.
Is the Bhartiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS) a threat to the BJP, and will the TRS suffer as a result of dropping the word Telangana?
Actually, the BJP is worried about the increasing popularity of KCR. Now, the administration of KCR wants to bring development in the nation as KCR’s popularity in other states is also increasing. Every state government has now started to follow the Telangana model. Only KCR can imagine schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, Kalyana Lakshmi and Mission Bhageeratha. These schemes are not for votes but for development.
There will be no affect of removing Telangana from TRS and turning it into BRS. Because of our schemes, the Telangana model has already gained popularity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, including in Modi’s Gujarat. This is an advantage for the BRS and a proud moment for Telangana.
Is the BJP concerned about the opposition in the country and parties like TRS?
The BJP has realised that PM Narendra Modi will not be elected for a third term due to their wrong policies and decisions. So, they started misusing investigation agencies to stop those parties who can stop the BJP juggernaut. As they realised that, KCR is going to enter into national politics, they started to stop him. This reveals the BJP’s nervousness.
Is the Munugode bypoll being used to prove the political might of parties rather than the welfare of the people?
The BJP has imposed the byelection on the people by using Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are scared of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s idea of entering national politics. They think that if KCR enters into national politics, then he will expose their failures. These elections are being conducted only so that the influence of KCR on national politics can be avoided.
Will the Munugode result have an impact on the general elections?
We will easily win because we are 12 to 15% ahead against the opposition. And also, the people of Telangana trust us.
How did it happen that Left parties are now supporting TRS as they were scoff by KCR?
Today, the BJP has become a danger to the country, so they strongly believe that only TRS can defeat the BJP. This trust will continue in the future as well.
What is that TRS trying to sell in its bid to win Munugode bypoll?
It was a dream to get rid of the problem of fluorosis that has been going on for decades. It’s only KCR who completed this dream by bringing Mission Bhageeratha. Now we are focusing on completing the other irrigation projects that will turn our area green, like Dindi Lift Irrigation, Charlagudem, Shivannagudem and Lakshmpuram.
How confident are you of winning the Munugode bypoll?
There is no chance for the BJP to win in the Munugode bypoll. Rajgopal Reddy knows that defeat is staring at him. The whole election is between the TRS and Congress.
