Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu was accused by Film producer Upasana Singh of dishonoring the Film promotion agreement.
Punjabi Film producer Upasana Singh on Thursday filed a suit in Chandigarh’s local court against Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu, accusing her of dishonoring an agreement signed for the promotion of a Punjabi movie. Singh filed a civil suit in the Chandigarh district court, seeking damages for the contract by Sandhu, who played the lead in her Film “Bai Ji Kuttange”.
Upasana Singh told the reporters outside the court that she gave Harnaaz a chance to act in the movie Bai Ji Kuttange. Not only this, but she also made Yaara Diyan Poo Baran in which Harnaaz is the heroine as well.
The Punjabi Film producer claimed that Sandhu, crowned as Miss Universe 2021, according to the agreement has to make herself available in person and virtually for the film’s promotion under the agreement with her Santosh Entertainment Studio LLP. Singh also said that she has refused to give dates for the movie’s promotion.
There was no immediate response by Harnaaz on Singh’s allegations.
Singh says, “I gave her a chance at that time when she was not Miss Universe”. “I spent a huge sum on this movie. It is not a small-budget movie.” She also claimed she had to postpone the movie’s release from May 27 to August 19.
Dev Kharoud and Gurpreet Ghuggi have also acted in the upcoming Punjabi Film Bai Ji Kuttange, which is directed by Smeep Kang.
Harnaaz Sandhu is the third crowned Miss Universe from India. Before her, Lara Dutta in 2000 and Sushmita Sen in 1994 were the winners of the title from India.
