Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight finally is on Disney+ Hotstar. The series stars Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke in the lead roles.Â
After Hawleye, Marvel Studios is back with another action-packed, mind-bending, live-action series. Marvel Studios’ new web series Moon Knight is premiering now on Disney Plus Hotstar.
It was premiered yesterday, March 30, in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. It is directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead, the web series is loaded with Egyptian mythology.Â
The series is written by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight stars, Oscar Isaacs, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. This time Marvel is taking its fans on a journey of mystery, and chaos with its latest superhero, Moon Knight. There are a total of six episodes on Moon Knight. Each of them will last about 40-50 minutes. Â
Moon Knight is unlike previous MCU heroes. Moon Night is said to be intense, suspenseful, and thematically edgy. Ethan Hawke plays the antagonist, Arthur Harrow, a religious enthusiast and a cult leader associated with the Egyptian god Ammit. Actress May Calamawy plays Laila El-Faouly, an archaeologist who is drawn to Spector’s past.Â
The character Moon Knight first appeared in Marvel Comics in Werewolf by Night, August 1975 edition. The character of Moon Knight was penned by Dough Moench and played by artist Don Perlin.Â
Who Is Moon Knight?Â
“Moon Night is a supernatural thriller that follows Steven Grant, a gift-shop clerk who begins blackouts and flashbacks to a past existence. Steven learns he suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and shares a body with mercenary Mark Spector in the episode.
As Steven/adversary Mark draws closer to him, he must manage his complex identity while engaging in a dangerous mystery involving the great Egyptian gods, with which they are unfamiliar.”Â
Khonshu is the ceremonial armor of the Egyptian god which is given to all of God’s warriors for centuries. Moon Knight carries out his vengeance on Earth as a vigilante. He has taken the earthly incarnation of Khonshu. Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon granted Moon Knight his special powers and the self-appointed god of vengeance. Moon Knight fights all perceived injustice as he obeys Khonshu’s orders and retaliates on Earth.Â
