MOVIE SYNOPSIS –
Kuku (Varun) fell in love with Naina (Kiara) right when he saw her. They were in the same junior school, and he would fight with the other boys who would just try to talk with Naina.
He was the popular boy, while she was the prettiest girl. Even after college life began, his love for her didn’t lessen a bit. If anything, it grew stronger. He soon proposed marriage to her, and she said yes!
The two shifted to Canada right after marriage where Naina becomes a successful and rich entrepreneur while Kuku gets the job of a security guard outside a nightclub.
That is when things began worsening between the two. Not five years into getting married, things started falling apart between them. It got so bad that they decided to part ways, and get divorced.
They decided to go to India, celebrate Prajakta’s (Kuku’s sister) big fat Indian wedding, and thereafter, disclose the news to their parents.
But fate had other things planned.
Kuku’s father, a role played by Anil Kapoor, reveals to Kuku that he wants a divorce from his mother. He had also revealed having an affair with Kuku’s teacher.
With such information and chaos at home, Ginni (Kuku’s sister) was questioning her decision of getting married to the guy her parents chose for her. She realized she was still in love with her ex-boyfriend.
CONCLUSION –
All the secrets were revealed, from the divorce to infidelity, on the 25th anniversary of Neetu and Anil. There were tears, heartbreaks, and a lot of drama.
On the day of the divorce registration, after Neetu and Anil had signed the papers, Varun gave a speech on how he loved Kiara and how he was ready to do anything for her. He proposed to her in court, the same way he had done back in college.
She said yes, and they moved back abroad.
PERSONAL OPINION –
Undoubtedly, Anil Kapoor was the star of the show. However, his character was shown very toxic. It was hard to continue liking his character.
Overall, the movie was fun, and a one-time watch.
I would give it not more than a strong 6.
