Deepika Padukone’s costume in the song “Besharam Rang” from the upcoming movie Pathan is termed obscene by the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra and Alexander Dostal Pathaan is an upcoming Hindi-language action film it is also the fourth installment in the spy universe by YRF.
Starting- Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
The film is all set to be released on the big screens on 25th January 2024.
Besharam Rang in political controversy
The first song from the film Pathaan, “Besharam Rang” was released by YRF on 12th December 2022 at 11:00 AM IST, Since the release of the song it is trending but for all the incorrect reasons. The song has been perceived in an Obscene way not only by the general viewers but also by the M.P Home Minister.
Recently Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishraon Wednesday 14th December 2022 got agitated and took action against the costume of Actress Deepika Padukone stating “if certain scenes are not corrected, the government will reconsider the release of Pathaan”.
Mishra further states that “the costumes seen in the song are highly obscene and it is visible that the song was filmed out of an adulterated mentality, I would request to correct the scenes and costume, otherwise, whether this film should be allowed in Madya Pradesh or not will be a question to be considered”. In Indore district, Mhow the M.P. further stated that “ Deepika Padukone has been a supporter of “tukde-tukde gang” in the previous JNU case.
The release of the film Pathaan is at stake in Madhya Pradesh until the obscene scenes from the songs are removed.
Boycott Pathaan trend
Since the release of the song, “besharam rang” users have started comparing the song of the movie with the previous song “Ghungroo Tutt Gaye” from the movie War 2019.
In the music video of the song besharam rang SRK and Deepika were seen as spicily aromatic when they danced together which caught the attention of the fans but along with the fans there was a section of people who were not quite happy about it and started a boycott trend on Twitter
Twitter was trended with the hashtags boycott Pathaan and boycott Bollywood continuing the recent trend of boycotting Bollywood films.
Deepika Padukone Political controversy
This is not the first time that Actress Deepika Padukone is in a political controversy around the release of her film. Previously the Actress was in political controversy even in January 2020 just a week ago the release of her film Chappak where the actress stood with the students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. She was there for the promotions of the movie Chappak and almost risked her acting career.
M.P Home Minister Narottam Mishra’s previous agitations on other films
The Home Minister of M.P. is not agitated for the first time against a film this year two other films were under threat due to the objectional content or poster.
This year in July 2022 the M.P. filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Leena Manimekalai’s documentary “KAALI” over the Poster of the film which was found controversial.
Recently in October 2022, a warning was issued to the maker of the Hindi film “Adipurush” starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles the movie is based on the epic Ramayana. A warning was issued legal action if any scenes in the film deceived any mythological deities in a bad light to be removed by the makers of the film before release.
However the film Pathaan is the most anticipated film of SRK for the year 2024 followed by his other two lineups Jawaan and Dunki.
