(Mahesh Bhatt murder conspiracy): One of the accused gangsters in the conspiracy of Mahesh Bhattās murder plan has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. The main accused and the leader of this conspiracy was Ravi Pujari. The incident is of 2014. He was relieved by this incident but, he still needs to remain in jail due to the ongoing hearing of shooting filmmaker Kareem Morani on him.
In 2014, a big conspiracy about Mahesh Bhattās murder was planned. One of the associates of the main accused Ravi Pujari, Abed Radiowala has been granted bail by the Bombay HC, but he will still be kept in jail because he did not get bail on an ongoing case of shooting filmmaker Kareem Morani.
Argument For Bail
Lawyer Naznin Khatri, who is defending Radiowala in this case said that there were no initial proofs against him. And as the main accused pleaded guilty in the matter, there can no charges be put on Radiowala(Mahesh Bhatt murder conspiracy).
Justice Bharti Dengre also noted that Radiowala is also accused of taking 3.5 lacs as a loan from his gang member but, this cannot be considered suspicious as that gang member and Radiowala are brothers. Naznin Khatri also said that Radiowala borrowed that money to take care of her mother.
History Of Legal Actions In This Case
The FIR on this case was lodged by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in 2014 (Mahesh Bhatt murder conspiracy). The judge of MAKOKAās special court gave its decision and convicted 11 accused as guilty on 25th April 2018. Radiowala was extradited from America to India and was presented in court on 3rd April 2019.
