On October 2, the NCB raided Cordelia Cruseliner’s Empress Ship disguised as passengers and arrested eight people.The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested eight people for consumption and possession of drugs when they raided the Mumbai cruise ship, which was leaving for Goa.
Among them was also Aryan Khan, the famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s twenty-three-year-old son. The three among them who were arrested were sent to NCB custody till Monday. The other two are identified as Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.
The raid was done on the Cordelia Cruises Empress Ship.
There were other five accused named Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chokkar.
These people were arrested on Sunday and will be taken into custody after their presence in the court on Monday, followed by a medical examination.
The three people taken into custody have been charged under IPC section 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the NDPS Act, which is related to charges of keeping, consuming, and selling illegal substances, as told by an official.
The total recovery made by the NCB in this case, as told, was 22 pills of MDMA, 5 grams of Mephedrone, 13 grams of cocaine and 21 grams of charas. An amount of Rs. 1.33 lakh was also included in the recovery.
The NCB officials heard of a party being held at a cruise to leave for Goa on Saturday. The NCB disguised themselves as passengers and boarded the cruise. They said that as soon as the cruise left from Mumbai, the onboard allegedly started consuming drugs, and they caught them.

After the news of Aryan Khan being arrested broke out, fans and media have been going crazy. Bollywood Actor Sunil Shetty says that whenever any drugs raid occurs, we assume that everyone present there has taken drugs without waiting for the final results.
He noted that Aryan should be given a breather. The investigation is going on, and until any confirmation comes proving him guilty, he’s just a child and taking care of him is our responsibility.
Possession and consumption of illegal drugs, pills can include severe punishments if found guilty.
Legal Procedures Involved in Such Cases
For possession of small quantities, the punishment can be imprisonment for about six months to a year and a fine of rupees ten thousand. There is an alternative option of taking counselling and avoiding going to jail.
However, the punishment may be severe for commercial quantity, resulting in ten to twenty years imprisonment plus a fine of rupees one lakh, which may even extend to two lakhs. Also, Section 27A of the NDPS act states that the punishment for financing directly or indirectly can also lead to imprisonment of ten to twenty years with a fine involved.
Coming back to the case, the sources tell that a bail plea for the three is likely to be filed by October 4 2021.
The case is further to be taken after a detailed investigation. All the accused are to be taken to medical examinations before further analysis.
