Storyline
“Di Caprio is in hysteria in the first clip of the trailer of Don’t Look Up, while Lawrence is in utter shock at the sight of the screen”. Â
Kate Dibiasky (an astronomy grad student) and Dr Randall Mindy (her professor), played by Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo Di Caprio, respectively, make an astonishing discovery of a comet revolving in the solar system.Â
The major challenge ahead of them is that the comet is on the direct collision route with Earth, and no one seems to bother about the same. As it unfolds, we discover that notifying humankind about the humongous terminator that can slay the whole planet is a disruptive detail to traverse.
With Dr Oglethorpe’s assistance (played by Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall manage to onboard a media tour that walks them from the office of a heedless president to the broadcasting frequencies of The Daily Rip, an optimistic and idealistic morning show hosted by Cate Blanchett (as Brie) and Tyler Perry (as Jack).Â
With having just six months in hand until the disaster strikes, the ensemble cast administers 24- hour news circle and procure the attention of the social media monopoly in the given deadline; their voyage through all this is astoundingly entertaining and funny; to watch! It will be super interesting to see what it takes to get hold of people’s attention to forewarn them of the upcoming scuffle.Â
