Storyline

“Di Caprio is in hysteria in the first clip of the trailer of Don’t Look Up, while Lawrence is in utter shock at the sight of the screen”.

Kate Dibiasky (an astronomy grad student) and Dr Randall Mindy (her professor), played by Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo Di Caprio, respectively, make an astonishing discovery of a comet revolving in the solar system.

The major challenge ahead of them is that the comet is on the direct collision route with Earth, and no one seems to bother about the same. As it unfolds, we discover that notifying humankind about the humongous terminator that can slay the whole planet is a disruptive detail to traverse.

With Dr Oglethorpe’s assistance (played by Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall manage to onboard a media tour that walks them from the office of a heedless president to the broadcasting frequencies of The Daily Rip, an optimistic and idealistic morning show hosted by Cate Blanchett (as Brie) and Tyler Perry (as Jack).

With having just six months in hand until the disaster strikes, the ensemble cast administers 24- hour news circle and procure the attention of the social media monopoly in the given deadline; their voyage through all this is astoundingly entertaining and funny; to watch! It will be super interesting to see what it takes to get hold of people’s attention to forewarn them of the upcoming scuffle.

Interesting facts about the film and cast

Netflix apparently rendered Rs 410 crores approximately for the joint efforts of Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Lawrence for the upcoming dark comedy, Don’t Look Up, which includes a sum of 223 crores (roughly) for Di Caprio and 186 crores for Lawrence (around 150 crores higher the standard remuneration they generally get).

Don’t Look Up is a Netflix original that stands fourth in line with which Cate Blanchett is associated. Earlier, Blanchett has starred in the animated feature film Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle and Stateless (an Australian drama).

One of the best leading ladies of Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence has worked in several franchises, which earned her an Academy Award. Don’t Look Up is remarkably both Di Caprio and Lawrence’s first Netflix original.

In contrast, Rob Morgan is an identifiable face on Netflix, having cast in several projects over the past few years. This film is the second project where Rob Morgan is working on an Adam McKay film.

Don’t Look Up is unlike any other multi- starrer; it is power-packed with too many people to name. Oscar winners Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo Di Caprio, Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett, are some of the dynamite talents fans will be feasting upon.

Hi, I am an experienced content writer with an elaborate history of working in entertainment, health, technology, politics, and business. I did not choose this profession as much as this profession chose. I used to wonder what I was passionate about, never really got an answer until one day when a friend pointed out how much passion and energy I bring to the table when I write. I used to write for my school magazine and help my friends with their essay competitions; also, does journaling my entire life count? I don't believe in writing to achieve business goals, I love to write, and I put my soul into every piece I create; therefore, I choose topics that truly intrigue me. Being a writer, I understand how important it is to pen down the thoughts so that people reading them can honestly acknowledge your thought process. I work around that goal, and I try to help people tell the world their story excitingly and interactively.
