Return of The Kapil Sharma Show: many fans enjoyed; other miss Krushna Abhishek, who says ‘jokes are flat’
The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS) made its debut in April 2016 on Sony TV and broke all records of TRP. Following the great success of the first season, the show came up with its second season in 2018 with changes in cast and set, which was again a super hit. An earlier season of The Kapil Sharma Show went off the air on June 5, 2022, and it was last graced by ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’s’ movie cast. Now, the show by Kapil Sharma has returned with a new season to tickle your funny bones and make you laugh.
The new season of The Kapil Sharma Show premiered on Saturday night after Kapil Sharma had viewers waiting for months. Following his return from his worldwide performances and preparations for his film Zwigato’s appearance at the Toronto Film Festival, the comedian was spotted flaunting a new appearance and attitude.’
With new entrances and exits as well as a new “mohalla” as its location, The Kapil Sharma show has also undergone some changes. However, regular viewers would be aware that the jokes are still the same, with some making you grin but never laugh and others making you roll your eyes.
The first episode of the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show opened with Akshay Kumar joining the group and promising to remain present no matter what. Additionally, he introduced the new show characters and laid the groundwork for some fairly lackluster performances. The characters didn’t gel, whether it was Sumona Chakravarti playing the forgotten wife and her family or Kiku Sharda playing the Gudiya laundry maid.
Kapil Sharma referred to his wife as “behenji;” at one point and asserted that “lockdown main jo bhi hua bhul Gaya.” He was observed focusing his attention on Ghazal, the newest resident of the mohalla, as he attempted to flee the “marriage.” With her beautiful demeanor and lovely face, Srishty Rode is a good fit for the role, but she needs to up her comic game. The performance now features renowned comedian Siddhartha Sagar, whose jokes successfully tickle the funny bone of the crowd.
Even with so many people coming on and off the stage, the exchanges lacked strong humor; the team of Cuttputlli’s entrance was the turning point in the event. The best part of the episode was Akshay and Kapil’s chemistry as they taunted one other while pulling each other’s legs. The Bollywood star blamed Kapil for curses on his movies while Kapil made fun of Akshay for signing Raksha Bandhan after romancing so many ladies on screen.
Soon, actors Chandrachur Singh and Sargun Mehta as well as producer Jackky Bhagnani joined the fun. The presenter didn’t miss an opportunity to poke fun at Jackky and Rakul Preet while Sargun and Kapil reminisced about their time at Comedy Circus. He inquired, “Film ke chakkar mein yaha aaye hai ya Rakul ke,” making Jackky blush. In the second episode of the Sushmita Sen film Aarya, which centers on Lalit Modi’s persistence, Chandrachur Singh too became the target of Kapil’s joke when he was questioned about if his character had passed away. The actor was surprised by the remark, so he timidly replied, “Kuch aur Baat Karte hai.”
Gudiya from Kiku returned while interacting with a visitor. When Kiku referred to Ranveer Singh’s most recent nude pictorial, it was the only joke that resonated. The remainder of the broadcast focused on analyzing amusing fan comments on the actors’ Instagram posts. Fans must have been upset at the brief and uninteresting conversations when the Bollywood celebs’ segments came to an end.
Bigg Boss 12 fame Srishty Rode, comedians Siddharth Sagar, and Gaurav Dubey among others have joined The Kapil Sharma Show along with the regulars Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti but Fans were disappointed as Krushna Abhishek was seen nowhere. Krushna Abhishek has decided to quit the show due to a disagreement with the producers regarding his fee.
With a new star cast and a new look, Kapil Sharma entertained the audience with his jokes and antics But looks like he could not fulfill the void left by Krushna Abhishek’s character Sapna. While many fans enjoyed the first episode of the show, others miss Krushna Abhishek and Chandan Prabhakar in The Kapil Sharma Show.
He brings a lot of spunk and flares with his humor because he is a livewire. The younger-looking Archana Puran Singh is back with her contagious laugh. Although the majority of the group are comedians, the jokes didn’t exactly hit home.
Soon after the episodes came on TV, The Kapil Sharma Show fans took to Twitter to react to the episode. One fan posted, ” I Saw the first episode of the Kapil Sharma show. It is so boring and has no laughter at all because of the Poor cast & content. Not worth the time to watch. Where is Krishna Abhishek or Sunil Grover in the show?? Bekaar show!!! #KapilSharmaShow” Many other fans also demanded the makers bring back the popular comedians and cast that have made them laugh over these years.
Given that this is only the first episode, we would give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s possible that these actors need a little warm-up; we just hope it doesn’t take too long.
