Nupur Sharma, an advocate and national spokesperson of the Bhartiya Janata Party is trending on social media with the hashtag- #ArrestNupurSharma, because of her insulting comments to Prophet Muhammad. On a national channel, Times Now, Nupur Sharma commented on Prophet Muhammad during a debate on Gyanvapi.
Nupur Sharma, a member of the state executive committee of the BJP unit in Delhi a prominent face of the party’s youth wing, Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Due to her anti-Muslim comments, the social media users are demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma. Nupur Sharma has fumed a section of the society, and is getting heavy criticism from the Muslim citizens of the country. Her comments were viral on Twitter and she was subjected to online trolling.
During the debate on Gyanvapi, the Muslim Committee is referring the Shivling as a fountain or “Favaaraa”. In aggression, Nupur Sharma in an effort to shut down the comments on the Hindu religion started angerly commenting on the Holy Quran and The Prophet Muhammad. She quoted various statements, that in Quran, it is said that the Earth is flat and in rage convey to the other debaters that she might start mocking the statements quoted in Quran. She also quoted statement that were an insult to the Muslim religious community as she mocked over Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, that he married off a girl of over 6 years and consummated the marriage when she was of 9 years of age.
Nupur Sharma due to her comments faced a deluge of threats. Has been receiving multiple death threats from social media. Even some Islamic members are threatening her for beheading.
Nupur tweeted, “@DelhiPolice@CPDelhi I am getting continuous death and beheading threats against my family and myself which are egged on by @zoo_bear because of his attempts to incite communal passions and vitiate the atmosphere by building a fake narrative. Attaching a few pics. Please note.” @zoo_bear is the troll account of Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair.
There are several tweets against her since she argued with the other debaters on the debate with her anti-Muslim comments. She started commenting and the mockery by saying that since people are mocking The Hindu religion and Faith repeatedly, they can also other religion referring to Islamic beliefs.
Nupur Sharma tagged Delhi Police repeatedly, and the response was that the matter has been forwarded to the concerned officials and they will contact her shortly. The Islamic community members stating that Nupur has publicly abused their “Beloved and Innocent” prophet Muhammad on National TV and she must be arrested
Nupur Sharma stated that the video has been twisted and only her comments are been getting viral on social media, since then she is receiving death threats and rape threats including beheading threats against her and her family members.
In her aggression, while the other debaters favouring the Muslim community statements that the Shivling found in the Gyanvapi complex is a fountain as it’s having a hole and started demeaning the Hindu religion faith, Nupur Sharma started using anti-Muslim comments and quoted the debaters, favouring the Muslim community, “to fly on their flying horses”(“udte hue ghodo pr fur hojaaayiye”), and claimed the marriage of Prophet Muhammad at the age of 50 with the girl of 6 years and started insulting the founder of the Islamic religion.
Nupur Sharma has held Mohammed Zubair, as the responsible for the hatred comments, she has been receiving through the social media. Mohammed Zubair is a well-known Hindu hater, who has posted and edited video of the debate hosted at Times Now by Navika Kumar where Nupur Sharma has been criticizing and dismantling the beliefs of Islamic religion.
Nupur Sharma stated that, very cunningly the specific part of the video where she has been criticizing the Islam is posted but not the full video where the other panellist, who was criticizing Sanatan Dharm, and was a Muslim, was shared.
Also, in the video on the social media it has been seen that its Nupur Sharma is mentioning the dismantling comments by the other panellist on the Hindu religion, and then she started her comments, which were anti-Muslim, so as to claim that if the other panellists can mock the Hindu religion, they can also mock, the Islamic beliefs.
