Over 1.2 Lakh Products Launched as Amazon India Gears Up with Tribal India and Launches “Karigar Mela”

Instead of stating our usual tone of disdain, helplessness as to what could have been done, Amazon India, like always, stepped up.

Millions of artisans felt an inflexion in the market as the pandemic hit their livelihood significantly. As people joined hands together to fight the astronomical disease unanimously, the economy felt the tremors of the medical earthquake.

India has constantly been communicating grandiloquence through its art and craft products, with skill running through generations.

A country of folktales and fantasy, we continuously have been weaving products with love.

A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step

Amazon India lent its support for artisans and craftsmen to showcase their art through their platform, restoring consumer base access that the pandemic took away.

As the festive season is almost there knocking on our doors, Amazon announced Karigar Mela in association with Tribes India. 1.2 Lakh products at a click away for customers having access to handicraft, handloom products including crafts like Badri, Dhokra, Ikkat, Madhubani, Blue art pottery and many more.

This effort honours the diversity and creativity of the dedicated tribal and local artisans’ handicrafts as they are brought forward under the digital spotlight.

With all their art ready to be accessed at a click away, it seems the crafts industry is gearing up to thrive today as amazon continues to back them.

This partnership impacts benevolently over 12 lakh artisans through the sellers associated with Amazon Karigar. The mega business platform took the responsibility of scaling, launching, marketing their business on the forum.

As a part of this initiative, Karigars benefit 100% from selling on Amazon fee waiver starting from August 30, 2021, to September 12, 2021.

Amazon, in the past 365 days, has launched many initiatives like- A 10-week initiative, Stand for Handmade, to help artisans recuperate from the economic disruption caused by you know who, thus resuming the work of 1000+ artisans of East India, over 10,000 from Chhattisgarh, 5000+ from West Bengal and many more.

The launch of this initiative revitalizes the livelihood of artisans as their craft experiences exposure to our popular segment of “e-commerce”.

From the very beginning of time, it appears God raised his hand in benediction for Indians when it comes to creation.

Carefully handcrafted with the utmost care, precision and time, our handicrafts and handloom products speak volumes of the rich heritage and culture history bestowed upon us.

It’s time we aid our artisans as we bring their one-of-a-kind products home.

Head on to Amazon and scan through their products now!
