Pathaan Creating History
‘Pathaan’ Starring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, the film is creating history at the box office. It has successfully collected over 200 crores in the Hindi language worldwide and 123 crores nationally and is unstoppable at the box office.
The Tamil and Telugu version of the film has successfully collected 4.5 crore business in two days.
Being a non-holiday release, the film is creating history and successfully managing to pull crowds into the theater, and the sole reason for that is just Shahrukh Khan.
Audiences who have watched the film are posting on social media the craze that people still have for the 57-year-old, actor Shahrukh Khan and the netizens are even comparing the days of experience of the ‘Golden Era’ in the Indian cinema, where the fans are waiting for a glimpse of their favourite superstar on the big screen.
The film is receiving a great response in terms of the VFX, action sequence, edge-of-the-seat screenplay, and the Brobdingnagian appearance of the superstar Shahrukh Khan’s presence on screen and the audience are going gaga over the reunion of the duo Karan Arjun of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan presence together on the screen which is a visual treat for the fans of Hindi cinema.
Pathaan was the most anticipated film of 2024, and the film has successfully managed to deliver the audience a cinematic experience upon which the film is worth the hype, Pathaan is looked upon as a celebration and the fans are celebrating the film like a festival.
Director Siddharth Anand’s Reaction to the success of Pathaan
When the director was asked about the stupendous success the film received just two days after its release, Siddharth Anand stated, “Scripting history, everyone wants it but it is always unplanned, and it just happens, and when it does, it is an overall humbling experience, and I am feeling incredibly prodigious right now.” “I am inspired to get back on the set and try and create something surprising for the audience again. That’s my state of mind.”
Previously Siddharth Anand directed WAR (2019) which was again a huge success for YRF and is part of the spy universe which marks the most ambitious project for the YRF banner and Aditya Chopra, both WAR (2019) and Pathaan (2024) have proved their potentials at the box office and hooked the audience for more in the spy universe.
Director Siddharth Anand becomes the only director who holds the record of back-to-back 50 crores plus openings for his films and the director has something more to add to this, further continuing he stated: “I’m hungrier than before to create a more extravagant and mesmerizing experience for the audience like Pathaan, and for me yes numbers do matter as it gives clear validation for the hard work behind the film and film making is also a team game”.
The director further added: “I share this marvellous moment with the entire cast and crew of the team Pathaan, the vision of the entire team of Pathaan was to create a never seen before cinematic experience that cuts across the length and breadth of the nation, and I’m glad that we have managed to deliver the audience on this promise”.
The director concluded by stating: “Today is a triumph for Indian cinema as we all are Indians first and it is an exciting phase for the cinema that a film is breaking records and most importantly it is successfully entertaining the audience not only nationally but also globally”.
Lastly, the director also believes that cinema has no language, and if the film connects well with the audience, it can create wonders.
Pathaan has set the bar for further films in the spy universe which are Tiger 3 (2024) and War 2 (TBA) and the audience is already excited to be hooked on the further films.
