PM Modi’s visit to Germany: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with around 12 international leaders during his tour to Germany and the United Arab Emirates, according to government sources who informed PTI on Saturday.
He spoke to the Indian population in Germany. PM Modi referred to the 1975 declaration of a state of emergency as a “black mark” on India’s dynamic democracy. He claimed that every Indian had democracy in their DNA.
Indians embrace Modi warmly in Munich
PM will also speak at an Indian community celebration in Munich. It will be the largest such event since COVID-19.
Most of the guests showed up in formal attire. On Sunday morning, the Indian diaspora welcomed PM Modi at the hotel in Munich, where he will be staying. A Bavarian band welcomed him as he got to Munich.
The chant “Bharat Mata ki Jai” resounded over the hotel grounds. Moreover, members of the Indian diaspora cheered and waved their flags upon sighting the Prime Minister.

PM Modi is going to Germany for the G7 conference on June 26 and 27. Later to the UAE on June 28 to express his condolences on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former president of the Gulf nation.
“During the summit’s sessions, I will exchange views with G7 countries, G7 partner countries, visiting international organizations on a variety of topics. It includes the environment, energy, climate, food security, health, counter-terrorism, gender equality, and democracy.”
“I look forward to seeing leaders from some of the G7 and guest nations on the margins of the summit,” the Prime Minister said in a statement issued on Saturday.
The summit cements India and Germany’s long history of affinity
He added, “I will be at Schloss Elmau, Germanyt , at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, for the G7 Summit under the German Presidency.”
“It would be a pleasure to meet with Chancellor Scholz again following the fruitful India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations last month,” PM Modi remarked.
The invitation to the G7 Summit continues India and Germany’s long history of close ties. It is a strong alliance that has high-level political exchanges.
According to the PMO statement, Germany has also invited additional democracies, including Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, and South Africa to the G7 Summit.

The Prime Minister added, “While in Germany, I also look forward to meeting members of the Indian diaspora from around Europe. They are enhancing our links with European countries. Also contributing enormously to their local economies.”
