Production
The movie’s creators, Vyjayanthi movies published Deepika’s character poster on her birthday last month, depicting her as a fighter, her first debut in Telugu industry. In the photograph, Deepika could be seen posing as a warrior while facing the sun. She looks to have several bandages wrapped around her arms, but her face is hidden. Happy birthday to Deepika from the Project K team was written beside the phrase “A hope in the dark” on the poster.
Her look was compared to Zendaya’s in the film Dunes. The movie is being financed by Vyjayanthi Pictures with a sizable and high budget of over 450 crores for Indian filmmaking. Mickey J Myer is composing the music score and Dani Sanchez Lopez has its cinematographer. All the prominent actors in the film are given a new persona. It is shot in Hindi and Telugu with chances of Tamil language to be added too. The movie is presently in the post production stage with VFX effects to be added.
Developments
According to a source, the movie Project K starring Prabhas and Nag Ashwin would be released in two parts. The creators believe that this will allow them to fully realize their grandiose concept and film’s ambition and main story point are so vast. The universe and struggle of this monumental work will be established in the first half, while the full drama will play out in the second, similar to what happened in the Bahubali franchise. Project K, which commemorates the 50 years of its creators, Vyjayanthi Pictures, is expected to be the largest film in Indian cinema, a source informed Pinkvilla.
Filming
The COVID-19 outbreak caused a year-long production delay for the movie. With a futuristic set constructed at Ramoji Film Complex in Hyderabad, filming commenced in July 2021.The team broke up the 80–90 days of shooting the movie over 7-8 days per month rather than doing it all at once. This would give the production crew time to gather the equipment and items needed for this science fiction movie. Project K is the first Indian movie to employ the Arri Alexa technology camera, which will be used to shoot the movie. One of the most costly Indian movies ever produced is Project K.
