After SS Rajamouli’s RRR’s huge success on the box office, Salaar is the next movie in Telugu cinema for which people are really excited. The movie is directed by Prashanth Neel, who also directed KGF, and stars Prabhas in the lead role.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the release date of the big-budget project has been revealed. The movie will be released on 28 September 2024. On Monday, Prabhas, Prashant and the production house Hombale Films shared a new poster of the film. In the poster, Prabhas stood with blood-covered Khandas (an Indian sword) in his hands while a pool of dead bodies lay around him. The poster teased Prabhas in a ferocious, raw, and massy avatar. The film will clash at the hoc office with Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter which will release on the same date.
The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars Deepika Padukone. The film is touted to be the first aerial franchise in the country. Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan in a lead role. Jagapathi Babu is roped in for the antagonist role in the film. Composer Ravi Basur and cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, who worked in the KGF franchise, are also a part of the upcoming film.
Salaar is expected to be a mass action and adventure film. The movie is shot in a variety of locations around the globe such as India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. When asked about how he feels about the success of KGF 2, he said, “It’s good news. Prashanth Neel delivering a blockbuster, my director! We’ve already started shooting Salaar, so it’s great news that I’m working with one of the biggest directors.”
Prabhas will now shift his entire focus to completing the last instalment of the film as the first instalment of the project is already completed. The makers have hired a foreign studio to complete the VFX of the film. The bar for the movie has been set very high. Prabhas had a disappointing performance at the box office with his movie Radhe Shyaam. Hence, there are huge expectations from Salaar to see if the Telugu star can impress the audience again.
