According to the regulatory filing statement passed, it is confirmed that the president of Infosys, Ravi Kumar has resigned officially. Before resigning, he led the Infosys Global services Organization in many sectors together which made Infosys reach new heights.
About Ravi Kumar- Former President
He covered all industry segments. Among them, the main sectors that he covered were digital transformation, consulting, traditional technology, engineering, data and analytics, cloud, and infra services.
Previously, a few years ago in 2017, Ravi Kumar was appointed as the Deputy COO of the company. He was highly appreciated for the work he had done as the COO of the company. No sooner, the position of COO was given to UB Pravin Rao.
The main reason is that he was given immigration charges under the cyber security, procurement, and the India Busineess unit. Kumar was appointed by Infosys as the President in the year 2002.
Before Infosys, he was a nuclear scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). After he was appointed by Infosys, he worked as a group head for the insurance, Healthcare, and cards and payments unit. Amidst this, Infosys did not give that attention to their business in Latin America, China, Japan, and many other roles which come the way.
In a recent interview with Infosys, it was clear that the company sees the space for uncertainty regulation and security in different sectors. The sources of Infosys also said that the term Metaverse does not create a buzz for them anymore.
