The hero of the song “Gangnam Style”, Psy, announced his 9th album release on April 29, 2022, and confirmed a collab with BTS’ Suga
Park Jae-Sang, who is officially known as Psy, announced his 9th album release. The album is scheduled for release on the 29th of April. K-pop fans around the world are eagerly waiting for his music videos. By creating hit songs such as Gangnam Style, New Face, Gentleman, and many more, the 44-year-old K-pop idol paved the way for future generations.
He has been in the K-pop industry for more than two decades now. He made his debut in the year 2001 under YG Entertainment. He is the first artist to have one billion views on YouTube for his music video
“Gangnam Style.”
New album release update
He made an announcement on April 14th, through his social media accounts, that he was going to have a comeback on April 29th. He was inactive from the years 2018 to 2021.
The last album he released before his long unofficial hiatus was “4×2=8” in the year 2017. The PSYCHOs are really excited to hear his music after four years.
He released a video on Instagram on April 21st, teasing the third song track from the album “Celeb”. Bae Suzy stars along with Psy in the song “Celeb.”
She was a member of the K-pop group Miss A and a leading actress in many k-dramas. The character she played as Nam Hong-Joo in the drama, While You Were Sleeping, gained her a good number of fans.
A collab with BTS’s Suga
The BTS army’s and PSYcho’s are so excited after the confirmation by Psy, that Suga collaborated with him in his title song. Suga is the producer of the song “That That”. Psy released the first teaser for the title track on 26th of April and announced, Suga is the producer of the song.
On 27th April, Psy released his title song’s second teaser. The comments section is filled with delightful and hyped-up comments from the K-pop fans.
The full-length album will be released at 6pm., KST on 29th April, 2022.
