Reserve Day or Closed Roofs?
As the Weather is spoiling the excitement of test Cricket, There were many talks about the addition of reserve day in Test Matches, as every test match now is very important in the context of the World Test Championship. However, a Reserve day comes with a lot of additional costs, even though it is not used so not every match can be given a reserve day.
Many Cricket experts argued to have closed-roof stadiums in every Cricket playing nation as MCG, Australia. Commentators said with a good height of roofs in a stadium everything would be fine. Especially for Test Cricket, Stadiums with rooftops won’t be a problem as chances of hitting six for a batter are fairly low. And other two forms of the game have the DLS method to conclude the result but the Test match has nothing, They added.
But many experts rejected the need for roofs in stadiums for Test Matches, as rain plays an essential part in Test Cricket. Factors such as Sunlight, Rain, and Overcast Weather really play a significant role in deciding the factors of the pitch. They added It is one of the reasons that makes Cricket a Unique Sport.
