A 15-year-old girl was choked to death by a tutor in Kota, Rajasthan
Police have started an investigation after a private tutor allegedly choked and killed a 15-year-old girl at his house in Kota. According to the victim’s family members, the tutor has been teaching the minor girl for three years.
On Sunday, the girl did not return home on time, so the family members called the tutor. He had said that the class was delayed. The family was shocked, and they rushed to the tutor’s house in the neighborhood, where they found the body of a girl.
They said that the girl was slightly breathing when they found her body, but she was declared dead at the hospital.
Hands of the victim tied
SP of Kota, Kesar Singh, said, “The hands of the girl were tied, and a rope knot was found around her neck. Several scratch marks were also found on her body. The circumstances on the spot suggested that the girl was strangled to death.”
The victim’s body was found in a room at the tutor’s house. Police also called the Forensic Science Laboratory Division (FSL) team to collect the evidence.
An investigation has been launched
The accused has been identified as Gaurav Jain (28) by the Rampura police. He used to teach the girl daily at his house. The accused has escaped, and the police have launched an investigation to catch him.
A case of murder under Section (302) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against the private tutor. DSP Amar Singh said that it is impossible to comment that the victim was raped before strangulation as the medical report is still awaited.
