Last year Ranveer Singh did an interview with the Times of India and he told them that he wanted to make movies in every genre and he wanted people to think that he is the kind of person who can do any type of film.
Ranveer Singh has completed 12 years in this industry now and we can see how impeccably he has completed every single role.
Singh has experimented with every genre and he has performed every role amazingly. From movies like Padmavat where he played the role of Khilji to the movie 83 where he had the lead role of Kapil Dev, his performance is on another level.
Do you feel pressure from the audience regarding your new movies?
Singh says that pressure is a negative work in his terms but he sure feels that he has to deliver exceptional movies for his fans and himself.
He feels that there surely is a certain responsibility that comes with the stardom but he accepts it. His only focus right now is on choosing great movies and characters that can fit his criteria and can be challenging for him as well.
He is currently focusing on the kind of movies that brings people together, that family and friends can watch together without getting awkward.
He says that after a certain point, box officer numbers don’t matter to him.
Do you feel proud as an artist of how far you’ve come?
Ranveer says that he sure feels proud of himself for how far he has come and what diverse range of characters he has played in all of his movies.
I am glad that I got the opportunity to work with so many directors with vastly different styles. This was my long-time wish to be considered one of the most versatile actors.
The recent character I’m playing Is ‘Jayesh Bhai jordar’ and I am sure that this is the first time you’ll watch me play such a character.
