The Maneesh Sharma-directed film is now planned to hit theatres on May 13, 2022, according to the studio.
The upcoming film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar,’ starring actor Ranveer Singh, has found itself in legal problems just days before its release. According to reports, the Delhi High Court, while hearing an appeal against the film, ordered the makers to show the prenatal sex determination segment from the film to the audience.
“This is something that we will have to see for ourselves.”
Unless we see it for ourselves, we will not allow it,” stated Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi in a report to the Bar and Bench on the matter.Ā
Ā They stated, after watching the trailer for Ranveer Singh’s “Jayeshbhai Jordaar,”
āIt is something we would have to see, or else we will be forced to stay.ā
If we don’t see it for ourselves, unless we see it for ourselves and are satisfied, we will not allow it to happen “relating to the scene from the movie in which the prenatal sex determination is being discussed.
Assuring them that an authorised person will hand over a copy of the Ranveer Singh film at the next hearing so that they can watch the sex determination sequence, the YRF lawyer said the court would not allow release until it saw the sex determination scene in the Ranveer Singh film.
Meanwhile, a petition filed by the non-governmental organisation Youth Against Crime claims that the makers of “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” have violated multiple laws by presenting ultrasound technology in the trailer, which appears to indicate that the child’s gender has been determined.Ā
Ā A South Indian actress named Shalini Pandey will make her Bollywood debut in the film “Jayeshbhai Jordaar,” which will be released later this year.Ā Ā
The new drama will also have veteran actors Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah, who will play key roles alongside Ranveer and Shalini in the lead roles. The picture is now planned to be released in theatres on May 13, 2022, according to the studio.Ā
Ā In between promoting “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” and filming his upcoming feature “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh has a lengthy list of interesting projects in the works, all of which are anticipated to begin production shortly.
Running the gamut from working with acclaimed filmmaker Shankar on the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Anniyan’ to starring in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus,’ Ranveer Singh appears poised to take over the big screen in his next films.
