Xiaomi’s budgetary subsidiary Redmi announces new TVs, with 20W built-in speakers and Dolby Audio.
Redmi India will be launching two new Smart TVs in India on September 22.
The new televisions will add to the brand’s lineup of Redmi TVs and will likely improve on elements like display quality and sound.
The brand is coming with a launch of new devices as a part of its event page of September 22.
The launch, expected to begin at noon, is anticipating a lot of multiple models. A teaser suggests the arrival of two models – one with a 32-inch screen and another with a 43-inch screen.
The Specifications
● The new Smart TVs expected to come with 20W built-in speakers will also support Dolby Audio.
● For Design, slim bezels will give the models a more immersive experience.
● The TV will come with Android 11 out of the box and feature Xiaomi’s custom PatchWall on top.
● The 43-inch TV may come with a Full HD display, while the smaller 32-inch variant with an HD display,
New features further include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 auto-latency. And DTS Virtual: X, for sound quality.
Xiaomi is also claiming a novel Vivid Picture Engine that will offer a brighter and enhanced output on the screens.
A look at older X-series devices
The new Redmi TVs will add to the brand’s older Redmi Smart TV X series, launched in three sizes, 50 inches, 55 inches, and 65 inches earlier this year.
Starting from 32,999 INR, TVs in X-series come with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. They run Android TV 10 with a PatchWall content aggregation launcher.
64-bit SoC powers it with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM Mali G52 MP2 GPU.
Following a price hike, the X-series TVs started ranging from Rs 38,999, hinting that the new models could get priced lower.
The specs and sizes of these new models raise many hopeful speculations in the hearts of Indian consumers and TV lovers, as many feel that the new lineup might be more affordable than the X lineup.
However, people have to wait for more details to verify the accuracy of said theories. The brand will also put forward more teasers as we emerge closer to the launch date.
Redmi: An Household name
After coming to the country in 2014, this Chinese player has captured the Indian smartphone market after leading for three consecutive years.
Xiaomi’s budget subsidiary Redmi has now become a household name.
In an announcement, Xiaomi changed its branding for its premium range of devices, including smartphones and TVs. a new “Xiaomi” logo will replace the ‘Mi’ logo in its Mi series of devices.
Among the top players, Redmi constantly stays in the limelight with new launches and social media campaigns.
Last month, the brand launched two laptops under the branding of Redmi – RedmiBook 15 Pro, priced at Rs 49,999 for the only 8GB RAM + 512GB storage option and RedmiBook 15 e-Learning Edition, which got launched in two variants priced at Rs 41,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 44,999 for the 8GB + 512GB option.
With the brand’s established presence in the commercial scene, it will be fascinating how Redmi fares in the market of televisions with this new series.
