A well-renowned Hindu spiritual organization recently established a research institute of its first kind to cater to the ever-increasing interest in traditional Indian knowledge and the Sanskrit language.
Mahant Swami Maharaj formally inaugurated the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute in New Jersey. He participated in the ceremony from Ahmedabad virtually. The inaugural lamp was lighted and with it, the vision of broadening and spreading the light of knowledge around the entire world, according to a media statement released.
The release mentioned that the Robbinsville-based institute in New Jersey will work arduously to harbor the spirit of social harmony, academic discourse, interfaith dialogue, and public engagement through its in-depth principles and teachings of Vedic, Sanskrit, and classical literature as well as the practices and values of ancient Hindu beliefs and practices.
The impulsion for the institute has been primarily the ever-increasing curiosity and the urge to learn Sanskrit and to gain an intimate understanding of Hindu ethos and the scriptures.
