Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ directed by the actor’s beloved director Ayan Mukherjee has divided the fans with its new teaser and introduction of the supporting cast.
Since Ayan Mukherjee announced this epic film, people have been speculating and waiting with bated breath to see how such a massive and mythological production starring some of the biggest stars would turn out on screen.
Finally, the 37-second teaser for ‘Brahmastra,’ stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, was released amid considerable anticipation.
The chemistry between Ranbir and Alia was on point, and the Rockstar actor appeared determined to save the world. On the other hand, Mouni Roy, who will portray an antagonist in the film, seemed fiery and promising.
Brahmastra will not only be Ranbir and Alia’s first collaboration, but the film will also feature Big B, Mouni, and Nagarjuna alongside the power couple.
However, one section of the community has been adamant that the trailer screams VFX all over it. The presence of so many effects in the teaser will make the film less realistic, despite its mythological element.
For example, a clip in the teaser shows Ranbir blasting flames out of his palms for the first time. In contrast to his chocolate boy portrayal in movies, this is something that fans of the actor rarely see onscreen.
Apart from Ranbir’s refreshingly VFX loaded portrayal in the teaser, Mouni Roy’s antagonist glance has viewers scratching their heads as it reminds them of similar parts she has played on the small screen. Moreover, Mouni Roy’s big-screen debut has been met with a lot of criticism for her recurring surreal roles on and off-screen.
