The film is based on a period of pre-revolution drama that narrates the story of Alluri Sitarama Raju portrayed by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Jr. NTR as the two lead characters. The main characters portray their fight for rights right in the same situation and how their bond evolves over the fight for their right path amongst the Britishers and in the same period.
SS Rajamouli said that they are overwhelmed by the audience’s response to the film and it is high time to take Indian cinema to the peak and give it the platform it deserves. He also said that he will work hard to present Indian cinema as it is and cut down all the internal differences between the industries. The director added that without the whole team the film wouldn’t have been much of a success. He praised Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, and all the other people who were involved in the film.
He also added that film is not only about the revolution it is about the culture that India represents and it’s important for filmmakers to put the Indian culture upfront in their films. He quoted that, cultural representation is the key to the audience’s heart and it’s the bridge between reality and fiction.
The film was released post- COVID and the budget of the film was more than 500 crore, people had their doubts in mind but when the film was released it broke all records of the previous films. Amongst all the hurdles the film performed well in the theatre and in the audience’s hearts.
The film had its premieres in Berlin, Germany, and Japan with a mass audience gathering to praise the director’s explicit work on the screen. Not only this but the film is also in the nominations for Oscars. Earlier it was a critical matter for the team as there were assumptions if the film is really going for the Oscars, but the film cleared all the clouds and entered swiftly many nominations for the Best VFX, Best story, and many more.
Fans posted and shared their happiness on social media once the news came into the headlines, as it is a big achievement for Indian cinema. The industry has its fingers crossed as they hope the film triumphs over more achievements in the upcoming years.Â
